Jags opportunistic on offense and defense in 24-17 win over Cowboys
Byron Leftwich had a good game on Sunday, connecting on 23 of 34 passes (67.6%) for 237 yards with 1 TD and 1 interception. Fred Taylor carried the ball 21 times for 74 yards (3.5 ypc) and a TD, he also caught 6 passes for 41 yards (6.8 avg). WR Matt Jones caught 5 passes for 71 yards (14.2 avg). Ernest Wilford caught 3 passes for 58 yards (19.3 avg). WR Reggie Williams caught 6 passes for 47 yards (7.8 avg) and a TD.
The Jags defense held the Cowboys to 88 yards rushing and 4.0 yards per carry. The Jags were all over Drew Bledsoe. The Jags only allowed the Cowboys to complete 48.5% of their passes for 235 net yards, but, the Jags intercepted three passes.
