The Jacksonville Jaguars release OT Charles Spencer

The Jaguars have decided to quit waiting for OT Charles Spencer to get healthy and have released him.  Spencer only played in 2 games (both starts) in his three year NFL career.  It’s too bad that he couldn’t stay healthy as he is a talented football player.

The Jacksonville Jaguars sign QB Todd Bouman

The Jaguars have signed 36-year old QB Todd Bouman.  Bouman will likely be the #3 QB for the Jaguars this season behind David Garrard and Cleo Lemon.  He last played in a regular season game during the 2005 season with the Saints.  Bouman has played in 26 games in his NFL career and he has completed 129 of 230 passes (56.1%) for 1,683 yards with 11 TD passes and 11 interceptions (75.3 QB Rating).  He has also carried the ball 21 times for 86 yards (4.1 ypc) in his NFL career.  This was a good move for the Jags as you can never have to many legit QBs on the roster.
