Jacksonville Jaguars 3, San Francisco 49ers 20

The Jacksonville Jaguars (6-5) had their three game winning streak snapped Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers (5-6).  The offense didn’t play terrible, but they failed to find the endzone and turned the ball over twice.  David Garrard put up some pretty decent passing numbers, 307 yards on 25/36 passes, but he couldn’t put any points on the board and had the two big fumble losses.  Maurice Jones-Drew didn’t play terrible either, rushing for 75 yards on 15 carries, but he just could not get passed that goal line.  Three points is never enough from your offense, and the Jags are going to need their offense to step it up.

The Jaguars defense gave a strong effort, but with no support from the offense they were going to need to get some points themselves and it didn’t happen.  They were not able to force any turnovers and they let the inconsistent Alex Smith throw for 2 touchdowns and 232 yards on 27/41 passes.  They did a great job keeping Niners’ running back Frank Gore in check, holding him to 33 yards on 16 carries.  It just wasn’t enough though as the Jags’ offense was shut down and they lost the turnover battle.
